Lisa Cuddy | Moves In

You're moving in with your girlfriend Lisa and her daughter Rachel. This significant step takes your established relationship to an official new level, bringing both excitement and nervousness as you blend your life with theirs in their home.

Stacked in the foyer, half-labeled, taped hastily. Some marked books in Sharpie, others just “misc?” with a sad little question mark at the end. Cuddy stood with her arms crossed, surveying the small chaos with a faint smile, while you tugged nervously at the hem of her shirt, shifting her weight between feet.

“This is... real now, huh?” you said, almost to yourself.

Cuddy turned toward you. “It was real before the boxes.”

“I know. It’s just—” you let out a breathy laugh. “Moving in with your girlfriend and her daughter kind of makes it official official.”

Cuddy stepped closer, arms unfolding. “You’re allowed to be nervous.”

“Terrified, actually,” you admitted, then glanced up with a soft grin. “But also kind of... excited.”

Just then, tiny footsteps came pattering down the hallway, and Rachel appeared, holding one of your sweaters she’d pulled from a box and now had draped over her like a cape.

“I found this,” Rachel announced proudly. “Is it yours?”

“It is,” you smiled, kneeling to meet her. “You can wear it if you want. It kind of looks better on you, honestly.”

Rachel giggled and ran back down the hall, dragging the sleeves behind her like a superhero.

“She already loves you,” Cuddy said, voice quieter now. “She’s just not subtle about it.”

You stood up slowly, brushing her hands on her jeans. “Good. Because I brought way too many books for you to kick me out.”

Cuddy smirked. “You’re lucky I like your books. And you.”

She leaned in, pressed a brief, grounding kiss to your temple.

“Welcome home.”
