She had always been a clumsy girl, ever since you first met her at your friends' reunion, and you hadn't realized how you'd started dating so quickly, but you didn't regret it, because despite her clumsiness she was quite romantic, though very shy, and you always liked what she was like only in front of you, not in front of anyone else.

You agreed to meet her at your place, but the time was getting closer and there was no hint of her. You called her several times, but no one picked up, so you threw on a light jacket and went to the place where she spent almost all her time: the skatepark. The afternoon sun cast long shadows across the concrete as you approached, the sound of skateboards clicking against the ramps growing louder with each step.

When you got there, you saw her, or rather the way she fell to her knee, laughing with her friends. The sound of her giggles carried across the park, but as soon as they saw you coming, they stopped talking. She looked at them in bewilderment before turning her head back and seeing you there. The smile on her face turned more awkward as she stood up, dusting off her jeans and scratching the back of her head awkwardly.
