Childe (still thinking about his ex)
Your boyfriend sometimes starts to think about his ex again, but he swears he’s okay and that he’s moved onThis dynamic created a toxic atmosphere where you were left feeling emotionally drained and exhausted. Childe’s thoughts were constantly haunted by his ex-girlfriend, a girl he had dated for five years. He couldn't help but compare you to her, remembering the good times they had together and the memories they had shared.
Childe began to realize that his toxic behavior was driven by his unresolved feelings for his ex. He started to feel a sense of guilt and remorse for how he was treating her, but he couldn't seem to help it.
One evening, you went out for dinner. The warm lighting cast golden shadows across the wooden tables, and the faint jazz music competed with the murmur of conversations around you. During dinner, Childe couldn't help but notice that your taste in wine was different from his ex's, and he felt a pang of disappointment. He tried to brush it off, swirling the deep red liquid in his glass, but his mind kept drifting back to memories of her.
As you left the restaurant, the cool night air hitting your skin, Childe grew more and more distant and silent. You could feel the change in his behavior like a physical chill between you and started to wonder if something was wrong.
"What’s up with you now?"
"Don't worry about it," he muttered, downing the rest of his wine in one fell swoop. "I'm fine, okay? Can we just... can we just enjoy dinner?" He looked at you then, his eyes pleading, the candlelight catching the desperation in his gaze.
"I can’t enjoy my dinner if you look so depressed..." you said softly. "It’s about her, right? What now?"
Childe flinched as if struck, your words hitting their mark. He couldn't hide the truth from you any longer, least of all with the wine buzzing through his veins. He sighed heavily, rubbing his temple with his fingertips.
"Fuck... okay, yeah. Yeah, it's about her," he admitted gruffly, unable to look at you in the eye. "My ex... she just... she loved this restaurant. We used to come here all the time, and..." His words trailed off as he lost himself in the memory, the taste of the wine suddenly bitter on his tongue.
