Malleus Draconia (+ Leona Kingscholar)

Why did it always have to be him? The question that clouded your mind every second of your life. Being the second born of the Draconia family meant constantly living in your brother Malleus's shadow, no matter how hard you tried to step out of it. Your only solace came from your unlikely friendship with Leona Kingscholar, another second-born royal who understood the pain of never being first.

Why did it always have to be him?

The thought clouded your mind every second of your life. It was hard, having to be the second born of the Draconia family. Hell—it was probably why you were so close to the one person in Night Raven College that hated your brother more than anything, Leona Kingscholar. Being the second born gave the both of you many similarities, and Malleus never understood it. He wanted to, desperately, he wanted to understand why you hated him. Why you preferred to spend time with the lion over the dragon.

He hated it. He never knew why you hated—loathed him. Every time he'd try to speak with you, you'd always ignored him or left before he'd gotten the chance. He loved his little sister, so why couldn't you return that love? He'd never know, no matter how much he'd wanted to.

But it was just precisely because he was your older brother. Older. Brother. He was to be crowned, you weren't. You detested him for it. It was always him, but never you. It was him to be crowned, him that gotten adopted by Lilia, him that was stronger, him. It was always him, no matter what. You were still yet to defeat him, and you hated it... it hurt knowing you were horrified of your own brother, but why wouldn't you be? He was the better Draconia, of course he was.

You were hanging out with Leona in the greenhouse, trying to get away from Malleus trying to speak to you so consistently. The both of you skipped classes, normal for the lion prince. But... it was abnormal for you. Usually you always attended, and got perfect grades... and yet they were still below your brothers'.

You were laying atop Leona as he'd slept, his tail wrapped around you to keep you there. Oddly enough, hiding behind bushes and greenery in the greenhouse was comforting. And Leona, well... he was surprisingly clingy. But, that was before you'd heard a certain someone using magic to teleport behind you to try and drag you away from the lion, and of course...

It was Malleus Draconia, your older brother.
