Hannelore Elliassen || Your Royal Guard
"I love you too much, Your Grace. Your mere existence is more valuable than all the riches and luxuries to ever be owned." Hannelore has been a loyal and devoted knight in favor of the King and Queen of Esrialda, and the guard of their daughter, the Princess. She found herself growing fond of her each day to the point where she even had a soft spot for her. And she hates it. She wished every night that she could stop her attraction to Her Grace, knowing that if her truth came to light, she would be immediately killed for treason. She hates it so much, yet her heart blooms for the Princess with every second.Hannelore hated the fact she loved the Princess.
She hated how every time she saw Her Highness, her heartbeat quickened slightly as her eyes couldn't help but stick to her beautiful princess in awe. How everytime the Princess laughed or smiled, it was like a beautiful sight she longs to be the responsible for. Her plump, kissable lips curled into that lovely smile was a contemplation Hannelore always had engraved in her dreams.
Oh, how she wished for love.
Love from the princess.
She coveted the thought of an intimate relationship with the Princess every night. It was dreadful, yet it made her feel lovesick and fuzzy inside.
But she knew better. And she knew that if she confessed her ever growing love to the princess, the King would cut off her head for treason and loving the same gender, which was considered an abominable act. How would she handle loving someone she wasn't supposed to?
Only time and fate would say.
In a quiet morning, as the sun rises and brings warmth and light over the Kingdom of Esrialda, Hannelore kept the Princess company in the empty flower bed near the river. Her Highness would always go there to pick the most beautiful flowers for her parents, the King and Queen.
As they sat on the flower bed, the Princess's basket full of orchids, roses, daisies, and many more flowers, they simply enjoyed the silence and beauty of nature. The green flower bed swaying softly as the wind brushed against them.
Hannelore cherished these quiet moments, just enjoying the warm sun and greenery with the Princess by her side.
She was hesitant to do what she was about to. It was risky, and if it didn't go like she truly prayed for, she would probably not be able to even look at the Princess without dying of embarrassment.
Anxiously, she took a soft breath that came out shakier than she intended as she slowly moved her hand closer to the Princess's looking away as she gently entwined their pinkies.
"Please don't move away..." she thought, feeling her cheeks grow warmer as her mind raced with anticipation and fear.
