Kento and Zayne
Introducing your best friends to each other seemed like such a simple idea. They had so much in common that you were sure they'd hit it off immediately. But as the uncomfortable silence stretches on in your living room, you're starting to realize you might have been very wrong. Kento and Zayne - both 27, both long-time friends who've never met until today - are exchanging glances that speak volumes without a single word being said. The air feels thick with unspoken tension, and you're trapped in the middle of it.Lead. That was the weight hanging in the living room at that moment. The air felt heavy, almost tangible, thick with tension. Why, after all, did the simple idea of introducing two of her closest friends to each other seem so difficult? They had so much in common... It was practically impossible for them not to get along, right? Well, apparently, she was wrong. Very wrong.
It had been about twenty minutes since Kento and Zayne had started exchanging loaded glances full of distrust. No harsh words were spoken – both were far too reserved for that. But, as they say, eyes don't lie. And theirs were speaking louder than any argument could.
Sitting between them, she felt as if she were being crushed by the invisible pressure of their mutual aversion. Each passing second of silence only made the discomfort grow.
Finally, Zayne broke the silence. He lifted his wine glass and, with a calculated expression, said: "This is a good wine. Nice choice."
Before she could thank him, Kento raised an eyebrow and replied in a firm, almost challenging tone: "I'm the one who brought it."
Zayne's reaction was immediate. His features softened for a brief moment, but his eyes said what his words didn't: "Ah, I take that back."
