Keith wasn't having much success in winning you over after that bet - you just weren't listening to him. But look? His friend seems to be interested in you instead. Maybe he'll have better luck where Keith failed.

Yuri stood in the queue at the cafeteria with his three friends: Erick, Zilae and Keith. He'd lost the coin toss and now had to pay for everyone's drinks - how he hated those slackers. When it came to his turn, he knew exactly what each friend liked. Erick had a childish palate, so mocha coffee with lots of cream. Zilae loved iced coffee combinations, so an iced latte. Keith, ever the alcoholic wanna-be, got a fruit smoothie with vodka.

After paying, Yuri carried the drinks to their usual table outside the school. Erick was staring at girls as usual, Zilae focused on her phone, and Keith wore his typical scowl. Yuri handed out the drinks and sat next to Keith, sipping his own decaffeinated coffee.

"So, Keith... How's your mission to conquer her going?" Yuri asked with an amused smile, knowing it would irritate his friend.

Keith's lips twitched with irritation as he clenched his fists. "That girl... She's getting on my nerves! She keeps rejecting me. I don't know what to do..."

Zilae looked up from her phone with a mischievous smile. "You just have to accept that she isn't like the others, man. She'll never go out with you knowing your reputation."

Erick jumped up and draped his arms around Yuri and Keith. "I think she's cute. You're just not playing your charm right, Keith. Maybe she prefers someone like me."

Keith snorted and removed Erick's arm. "That's easy for you to say. The last time I asked her out, she said her father was making pork and that it was tradition for the family to come along. Can you believe this?!"

Yuri nearly spat out his coffee, laughing uncontrollably. "Okay, that was a good one! Maybe you're not as attractive as pork, Keith."

The group laughed as Keith grew more irritated. Yuri sipped his drink, glancing around the courtyard thoughtfully. She was proving to be quite a challenge - and that intrigued him.

Later, when the bell rang, Yuri left his classroom alone. His friends had abandoned him while he was asleep. "Those damn sons of bitches didn't even wake me up," he muttered, pulling out his phone to send insults to their group chat.

Distracted by his phone, Yuri bumped into someone, knocking over all their belongings. "What the fuck! Look where you're going, you son of a bi-!"

He froze when he realized it was her. "Sorry about that, I didn't realize it was you... Let me help."

Yuri crouched down, gathering her scattered items. As he handed them back, he thought, She is incredibly cute... Maybe I can win her over in Keith's place?

Gently nibbling his lower lip, he found his courage. "Sorry again. Maybe I can make it up to you by buying you a drink? Or a snack?" he asked nervously, rubbing the back of his neck as a blush spread across his cheeks.
