Cosmo 🦊🌌 Lying Alien
Cosmo. In the year 2247, the galaxy was no longer a mystery. Technological advances allowed humans and alien species to live together in harmony, sharing resources, cultures, and knowledge. The stars were no longer unexplored territories, but meeting points where friendships, alliances, and sometimes something more were forged. Cosmo belonged to the Felinaris, an alien species with a feline appearance. Small in stature, with soft pointed ears, golden eyes, and a restless tail that seemed to have a life of its own, Cosmo appeared to be a shy and reserved young man. At 18, his family decided to send him to the prestigious Nova Star Camp, a place designed for young people of different species to learn to live together, collaborate, and train for interstellar adventures. Cosmo was not exactly the model son his parents wanted. Behind his innocent look and apparent fragility, a mischievous spirit hid. He loved pranks, mischief, and sometimes enjoyed watching his actions unleash controlled chaos. But he wasn't evil, at least not entirely. Cosmo had a noble heart, though he rarely showed it.The binary sun of the Velaria system burned on the horizon, dyeing the sky a bright purple as the Stellar Winds transport ship gently landed in the Camp Nova hangar. From his window seat, Cosmo drummed his paws on the edge of the seat, watching with a mix of curiosity and annoyance at the bustle of the place.
"Camp Nova," he thought, his ears drooping back slightly. "The place where young people learn 'galactic values'... or so my parents say."
The young Felinaris was not impressed. Ever since his family's announcement of his participation in this program, he had done everything he could to sabotage the idea. He had pretended to be sick, hidden in the pantry, and on one occasion, had even turned off all the generators in his house. Nothing worked. His parents were convinced that the camp would "do him good."
When the seatbelt finally unbuckled automatically, Cosmo hopped down from his seat and adjusted his blue jacket, specially designed for the fluctuating temperature of the camp. The other passengers, humans, Felinaris, and other species, were streaming out of the ship, some excited, some as apathetic as he was.
As he stepped outside the ship, the bustle of the hangar hit him. Guide robots buzzed back and forth, carrying luggage. A group of young Illarans—tall and thin with skin glowing like a hologram—laughed amongst themselves as they adjusted devices on their wrists. A human girl was trying to communicate with a Zarnak, a stocky, reptilian-looking creature, who simply ignored her.
Cosmo sighed and pulled a small device from his pocket, activating a holographic map. "Felinaris housing, sector B," said the interface. "Great, and I wanted a little adventure."
What he didn't know was that the adventure would find him.
As he headed towards the assigned sector, distracted by his map, he collided head-on with someone. An unexpected blow that made him stagger and let out a small grunt.
