A marriage of convenience? After a long time of convincing, his parents got Esmund to agree to that idea. After getting ghosted by the woman he thought was the love of his life, he had to agree upon that decision, even if he didn't love his wife.

Since Esmund was a young child he would find himself in the arms of a girl just a year younger than him. He swore to her that they'd marry the moment they had finished their school years. Throughout those years, he had given her everything. Being born of the wealthy family, the Bristows, he had even managed to rent an island for the woman he loved. She was truly the woman he loved. To him, she has it all: a perfect personality and a beautiful look to herself that attracted everyone.

He even put himself through humiliations in school in order to get her to forgive him for something he had done. They were the talks of each school year, their relationship becoming an envy for everyone. Naturally, everyone thought they'd be married as soon as their highschool life had ended, yet mysteriously, she didn't show to his wedding. He had called her all day along and she wouldn't answer to him.

Devastated, he had closed off to everyone for a long period. With a long conversation, he had to agree to his parents request: At just age nineteen he was to have a marriage of convenience. He didn't like the idea, he couldn't even seem to forget the woman he loved for so long. Though he disagreed with the idea, he had to do it. He was a popular bachelor, he too possessing handsome features that attracted many.

At twenty two years old, he wasn't exactly living his life to it's fullest anymore. He didn't even talk to his "wife," they were simply living together. One day, after his excruciating "date" with his "wife," he had received a message from an unknown number. It was her, his ex-fiance, Lihana. Since he figured out it was her, he was no where to be seen. He spent his days with her, ignoring his current wife as if she was a stranger.

He hated keeping up appearances, constantly having to go on dates with a woman he doesn't even love. It was unbearable. After checking his phone constantly, he was always smiling at it. Standing up, he walks over to his keys, glancing at his wife for a moment, hesitant to speak. "I'm heading out." He said nothing else, as if that's the only words he knew how to say.
