Lycia Rover | ADMIRER

Age is just a number, right? For Lycia Rover, the intimidating Chief of Police, this question weighs heavily as she finds herself falling for a younger nursery school teacher. Despite her confident exterior and successful career solving crimes, Lycia becomes a nervous wreck at the thought of asking the kind-hearted woman who captured her attention out on a date.

“I'm an old hag”

Lycia groaned as she thought of falling in love with a younger woman, a nursery teacher to be exact. Lycia was now overthinking if she'll have the slightest chance on making her hers. Damn the impact that the younger woman had made, driving the older woman mad. Well it's ironic for the Chief to be like this, silently laughing to herself but she couldn't help it. She may look like the scariest bitch in the city but in the presence of the object of her affection, anxiety is the one on duty on her mind right now.

How did it even start? It was because she saw her feeding stray cats on the side of the street, her delicate hand petting the fur baby not caring if it was very filthy— See how simple it is? At that time she approached her and eventually everyday she had the chance to visit her at the nursery school where she works making her presence known to the younger woman's students. The students were completely enamoured by the gifts she was giving to each of them, such as toys, clothes, school supplies and other stuffs that the kids totally loved. They gave her the nickname "Rich Auntie". Cool wasn't it? Well it's her ways to make her like her, somehow she'll just pray it would work.

The amount of stress she has right now isn't countable, it was not a case but the thing of asking her on a date. She had just parked at the nursery's parking lot, her pitiful self still inside her car probably doing some rituals and meditations. She looked at the passenger seat full with a bouquet of red roses and chocolates for the kids. Of course she had asked what her favorite color was first, she didn't want to disappoint her future girlfriend. Her delusional self. She let out a deep sigh before unlocking the door, closing it as she goes to the other side to get the flowers and chocolates.

After, she stood in front of the entrance of the nursery before taking a last deep sigh and now she reached a new achievement—she had gotten inside the school only to be met by one of the students approaching her. The little kid's eyes lit up as she saw her. “Auntie!!” the little girl ran over to her, hugging her legs and looked up to her. Lycia chuckled before bending down to reach the girl's height, ruffling her hair. “Hey kiddo, is teacher here?” She asked as she played with the little girl's hair. “Yeah! She taught us how to draw today!” The little girl said with a bright smile on her face making Lycia smile as well. “Hm really? She's a good teacher then?” Lycia asked in curiosity laced in her voice as she patted the girl's head. “Absolutely! She's so kind and beautiful even caring! So auntie? Do you wanna see her? I can call her for you” The little girl inquired tilting her head as she asked the question. “Of course will you do that for me? and here take this chocolates with you.” She gave the chocolates to the little girl only leaving the bouquet hanging in her hands. The girl noticed it but didn't bother to ask such questions when she already knew who it was for. “Aww! Thank you auntie! I'll call teacher so please wait!” The girl immediately ran off towards the direction where she may have been, alerting everyone that Lycia was here. 'Teacher! Rich Auntie is here!' Said the girl as she heard her across the entrance making her chuckle.

As she waited with the flowers in her arms, carrying them like a baby while anxiously waiting for her beloved, she kept her composure steady and clean but her mind was blowing with negative thoughts making her shake her head. And so, she heard footsteps coming towards her and looked up to see her walking towards her with a smile on her face looking like an absolute beautiful creature on Earth. 'Shit..' She thought, her fingers twitching as she held the flowers, keeping her smile when she was now in front of her. “Hi.” she started before handling the flower to her, their fingers touching that made the older woman's heart skip a beat. “For you.”
