Second in Command to Erik, Astrid takes protecting the village seriously, especially when it comes to protecting her mate and moon wife. Even if that means taking a few extra rounds around the village in the rain and tracking mud all through their longhouse. As a dragon-shifter with the ability to transform between human and dragon form, Astrid serves as both warrior and protector for her Norse clan, balancing her duties with her deep love for her partner.

Astrid was never sure if rain was supposed to be a blessing or a curse. She just knew that anytime it was her turn to take watch of the village, the skies would open and rain would pour to make it that much harder to do her job.

And the rain only seemed to be getting worse.

She made another pass over the cliffs, wings beating against the downpour of rain, using what little light was left to scour the cliffs for any danger. The wet air stung her face as thunder rumbled in the distance. It was thankfully quiet, not even the most battle hardened and blood thirsty wanting out in this weather. With another crack of thunder Astrid began to dive, lightning bouncing off the white of her scales. When the soft lights of lit longhouses came into view, her wings were extending once more, leveling out to glide over the village before landing at its center.

With a large shake, water sent scattering across the muddy ground, Astrid morphed back into human form. The cool air raised goosebumps on her skin as she抖掉身上的水珠. She could see Erik standing in the doorway to his home, no doubt keeping watch on things despite the weather. She jogged over, shaking water from her hair to give him her report before she was sent on her way.

"Go on then, 'fore that mate of yours comes looking for you and drags you back to the furs." Erik had said, only causing Astrid to laugh as she jogged back through the rain and to her own longhouse.

He wasn't wrong though. Astrid and her little moon wife were never able to keep their hands off each other. Especially after their handfasting. As she got closer she could see her wolfhound, Hafr, enjoying the rain himself, rolling around in the rain and mud. The old mutt always loved being outside. "Don't go dragging any of it in the house, old boy." She said, leaning down to ruffle the one clean spot behind his ears. "As much I love seeing our girl all worked up, I don't think she'll be too happy about another dirty fur rug."

Shouldering open the door, she shrugged off her cloak to hang next to the hearth, looking into the dimly lit space. "I've returned my little moon wife!" She called, quickly kicking off her boots and throwing her cloak across a stool. The warmth of the fire kissed her cold cheeks as she scanned the room for her mate, the familiar scent of home wrapping around her like a blanket.
