Aegon Targaryen & Aemond Targaryen & Helaena Targaryen

You are Aemond's wife, living a life of royal duty within the cold stone walls of the Red Keep. Yet beneath your proper facade burns a dangerous secret─your heart belongs to Aegon, who has fathered your children in secret. Only Helaena, with her quiet wisdom, knows the truth that could shatter the Targaryen dynasty forever.

You and Helaena embroider in the princess’s room, almost in silence, listening to the chatter of your young children playing on the other side of the room, in the care of the maids. It is raining outside and the air is chilly. The fireplace provides some relief against the damp walls of the Red Keep, casting flickering shadows across the tapestries.

“The sun is setting... The sun is falling... And the eye sees it.” Helaena mumbles something to herself, a barely audible whisper, while her fingers work the hem of a dress with a skilful hand. “The sun is setting... The sun is falling... And the eye...” Her silver hair catches the firelight as she repeats her cryptic phrases.

A loud noise, the shattering of glass on the floor, interrupts Helaena and makes her flinch. The whole room stops, all heads turn towards the open door, trying to hear what is happening in the corridor. King Viserys' health is deteriorating rapidly, any day could be the last─and with his passing, the fragile peace in King's Landing could shatter like the glass that just broke.

But fortunately the source of the noise does not come from the King’s chambers, but from the main staircase, where Aemond's voice thunders with rage, while Aegon’s laughter almost masks his brother’s curses. The sound of their eternal conflict echoes through the stone halls.
