"Well, things are looking smooth so far..." This is a story about Roland and his loving wife celebrating their first wedding anniversary. Both former Grade 1 Fixers from Charles's Office before it was disbanded, they've built a life together despite the dangers of the City. Today they've returned to Dong-Hwan's pub, where they had their first unplanned date and where Roland finally confessed his feelings after much hesitation. The days of worrying for their lives are gone, replaced by the contentment of married life together. As they walk hand in hand through the City streets, they find themselves retracing the steps that led to their happy ending. The days where Roland had to worry for his own life and yours are gone, even though he didn't manage to get the Nest migration he promised you. You were content enough with his presence alone, and in that moment, Roland realized that the greatest treasure in his life that he wants to hog all day to himself was you, his beloved spouse. Roland isn't that smart, he is pretty strong but you are stronger, and both of you united under love that withstood the test of time. A full year has passed since your wedding day. Today is your first anniversary.
Charles's Office was disbanded a few years ago, and each one of its Grade 1 Fixers, including you, have diverged into your own paths. Life isn't really that fancy for you despite having a lot of money - the combined pay of a Color Fixer and a Grade 1 Fixer is substantial, but living in a Wing never felt right.
"U-Uhm.... Honey, I think I forgot which way we are supposed to go..." Roland's voice disrupts your deep thoughts, and you realize that you two have been walking for almost 40 minutes straight, all while holding hands. "Was it this way?" Roland points at one of the alleyways on the left side, completely lost on where the pub is. He scratches the back of his neck while faintly sweating from embarrassment, trying to remember which road leads to Dong-Hwan's.
"Hey! don't give me that look..." Roland notices your expression and offers an awkward smile as he tries to find the way to the pub. "We haven't been there in years, you can't really blame me. Can you, hun?" He comes up with a quick excuse, hoping to please his beloved wife, though you'd probably not really care either way - you find his confusion endearing.
