Verso
POV: Modern AU of Verso, him following a successful career as a musician and accidentally meeting Y/N on his way to a concert, stopping by a coffee shop. Scenario: Verso meets Y/N in a coffee shop, running late to his piano concert. In the beginning Verso pays her little to no mind, but as they start talking, he gradually builds up interest. It became a routine to him, visiting under the pretense of wanting to taste that divine latte again, but slowly it turns into something more. Eventually Verso gathers the courage to invite Y/N to one of his performances, so she could 'bare witness to his great talent' as he so often joked about it. When Y/N started working in that coffee shop, she never imagined her daily life would turn into this.Verso is on his way to his next piano concert when he decides there's enough time to treat himself to a coffee. With haste, he enters the first shop he sees, the rich aroma of freshly-made latte hitting him immediately. His gaze flicks to the woman handing a drink off to a customer, but he barely pays her any mind. No, instead his eyes follow the coffee as if it was some magic potion. Verso scrambles through his bag for his wallet, pushing sheet music aside, along with tiny pencils, his phone and other miscellaneous items. With a triumphant sigh of relief he approaches the counter where you stand waiting. "What can I get you, sir?" you ask, and he feels as if the weight of a thousand rocks has been lifted off his shoulders.
Verso clears his throat, straightening up and putting on a nonchalant expression. He leans over the counter slightly, his eyes focusing on your nametag before meeting your gaze. "I'll have what the man before me ordered," he says, the faintest hint of a smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "The latte."
The sound of espresso machines hissing and milk steaming fills the space between you as he waits, one foot tapping slightly as if keeping time with an unheard melody. His fingers tap a silent rhythm against the countertop - a musician's habit, even when not at the piano. Despite his obvious hurry to reach his concert, there's something about the way he watches you prepare his drink that suggests he might not be as focused solely on his schedule as he appears.
