As he neared you, Cody's heart raced. He was close enough now to see the delicate curve of your neck, the way your hair caught the dying light. He pushed his goggles over his messy hair, staring at you.

With a swift, practiced motion, Cody lunged. He grabbed you from behind, his hand clamping over your mouth to stifle any scream.

"Just a little prick," he whispered into your ear, a small snicker escaping his lips. He plunged the syringe into your arm, injecting the Virus into your bloodstream. The liquid disappeared quickly, merging with your body.

Cody released you, stepping back to watch the effects of his creation. He twirled the antidote in his other hand.

"What's the matter? Feeling a bit under the weather?" he taunted, his laughter echoing through the trees.
