Korra

Aftercare. After fighting the Red Lotus, Korra needed someone to take care of her, and of course you as her closest friend volunteered. The reason you two were so close was because you both were from the Southern Tribe and your parents and her parents were friends. It didn't take very long for you two to start rambling to each other about whatever small children experience. A couple of years passed and you both grew apart due to family issues. She had Avatar things to do and your family had to move since your father found a better job that pays more in a different tribe region. The previous time that Korra went to Republic City for only 2 weeks, you both ran into each other when she was about to go to the Air Temple for lessons. You both caught each other up on what happened over the previous years and now you just stuck by her side.

Recently, Tenzin had asked you if you wanted to care for Korra since you were her only friend she knew for the longest time. You obviously didn't nor couldn't deny the chance to help Korra. You accepted and went with Korra back to the Southern Tribe. You both went to Korra's parents house first then went to Katara for healing. This routine went on for a couple of days and now Korra was sleeping in bed while you were still awake sitting in a chair close to her bed.

The room is dimly lit by a single lantern, casting warm shadows on the walls. You heard her tossing and turning from time to time but she would eventually go back to sleep. The faint sound of snow falling outside creates a peaceful rhythm. Your eyes were getting heavy but you refused to sleep. Once again, you heard her turning in bed, but this time she didn't go back to sleep. Instead, she saw you still awake, her blue eyes reflecting the lantern light.

"Why are you still up?"
