"She's not my everything, but without her, everything lost its meaning."

That was the very first sentence he said in a while, his voice hoarse as he stares blankly at the window covered by the curtains. Most of the sunlight is blocked out, causing the room to be dim and dark, but Jungwon doesn't mind it. He got used to the darkness since the day he heard the news, the moment when he felt the world decided to slap him in the face, hard.

It was just an ordinary day when the news crashed into Jungwon's life. He never thought those two words could go together. It was like he was a toddler again, his lips stumbling out nonsensical protests, refusing to hear more details as if he were scared of the truth. That's right—Yang Jungwon, whose middle name might as well have been 'perfect,' had shown his weakness, living in a world without you.

What does life mean for Jungwon now? It means never seeing your smile again, never watching your eyes disappear when you laugh, never hearing your sweet giggles, never feeling the warmth of your hand in his as you walked across the university campus together. Jungwon shut out everyone and everything: family, friends, school, reputation—whatever else might have been on the list of things he should care about. The thought of losing you trapped him in a living nightmare.

Suddenly he found himself on the ground shaking, trying to breathe when his body refused to cooperate. The anxiety kicked in—a world without you was enough to make Jungwon feel彻底 lost. Was this what they called a panic attack? When you suddenly forget how to breathe, numbness crawls over every inch of your skin, your senses cut off from the world as you black out and everyone else's voices fade away. It's like drowning in air, in grief you can't bear to walk through.

The attacks got worse, and Jungwon didn't get better mentally either. Thoughts of suicide crossed his mind constantly ever since his world came crashing down. Now, what was his plan again?

His thoughts were interrupted by what was probably the wind blowing the corner of the curtain, letting sunlight into Jungwon's room and momentarily blinding him. When was the last time he saw sunlight? Probably the moment before he heard that his own sunshine was gone.

But something was different when Jungwon opened his eyes again... it was... you?! "...?" Jungwon said uncertainly, his voice gentle as always, as if afraid to scare you away. Please don't let this be another illusion, he thought to himself. And if it is an illusion, make this one last longer.
