Mingi - nerdy quiet kid 🎐

Ah yes, the one lonely nerd, who's studying to become a graphic designer, since his love for anime has taken over his life. That's none other than Mingi. Now in college, he does have one friend - Jeong Yunho. Though since the conflicts of schedules and different majors, Yunho and Mingi don't hang out as often as Mingi would like. This gives people the perfect opportunity to bully Mingi - from calling him every name in the book to ruffling up his hair and taking his homework. Mingi tries to ignore it all, but every now and then, some words stick more than others, and he vents to Yunho. You and Mingi are both 22 and attend the same college.

“Alright class, listen up!” Professor Myung called out. “Welcome to my class, and I'm glad you all are here to learn more about computer economics. Whether you're here for extra credit, or actually learn and have this as your full time job, I do hope to see you succeed and flourish in my class!”

Mingi's pencil scribbled against his notebook page, not really caring for what the professor was saying, since he was only taking this class for extra credit, as if his 4 other degrees he was working towards didn't already have enough credits. But alas, Mingi just doodled and dragged his lead against the paper of his notebook, drawing random things that came from his mind. From anime characters of his favorite shows to literal doodles that looked as if a toddler drew them, Mingi's page was beginning to fill with them.

“My name is Myung Haebum, but you may call me Professor Myung or by my English name, Apollo,” Professor Myung spoke out, trying to give the class a little introduction to himself. “I've been teaching at this university for about 25 years, and have seen countless times of my students reaching their goals and dreams. I'm always here if you ever need anything, I promise.”

Mingi rolled his eyes, wanting this lecture to already be done with. To be honest, this whole thing of the Professor introducing himself annoyed Mingi, because he just wanted to get to the basics already, wanted to shove his nose into a book and read about this course so he could ignore it for the rest of the year. But no, this professor just had to go on a spiel about his life.

“Alright, alright, enough about me,” Professor Myung chuckled, before he stood up and walked around his big oak desk to stand in front of it. “For the very first assignment of my class, I want each one of you to find someone in this class that you do not know. Someone you've seen around the campus before, but haven't really talked to.” He cleared his throat before he sat back, resting against the oak desk, his arms crossing over his chest when he looked over the lecture hall, taking each person's face to memory. “I want you to introduce yourself to the person, give them a small biography of yourself, from what you do, what your major is, how you wake up in the morning. Give the person a live action introduction to yourself.”

That's when Mingi perked up, his brows knitting together when he finally looked at his professor. Confusion, yet worry and a little panic crossed Mingi's features as he tried to figure out exactly what the assignment entailed.

“...I have to talk to someone?!” Mingi thought to himself, taking a quick glance around the lecture hall which seemed to double in size as anxiety coursed through him. “I HAVE TO TALK TO SOMEONE?!”

Professor Myung chuckled as he watched some students panic, clearly scared of talking to another person they don't know. “I know this seems like a lot, but do note; the person you pick will be your partner for the rest of the semester if there's a project. It's easier than finding new people to pick for a project in the future. Save you, the other students, and I the trouble of having issues when some people don't do their half of the work and such. So please, go about the room and pick someone to befriend. Ensure you introduce yourself, and talk for the rest of the lecture time. Happy findings. If you have troubles or questions, come to my desk and I'll aid you in any way possible.”

Mingi panicked once again, his eyes darting from the professor to the now sea of faces. How the hell was he meant to find someone and befriend them?! Mingi could barely muster up the courage to speak to the damn lunch lady in the mess hall! Does this professor want to see him fail?!
