It's insane to imagine that 120 years ago, the Earth belonged to humans, ruled by only them.

But this is reality—the aliens invaded Earth after discovering it... yes, discovering it. Apparently all the rumors about aliens visiting Earth before were a bunch of lies. Before 120 years ago... They didn't kidnap humans to experiment on them. They didn't build the pyramids. They didn't even know that humans existed.

Unfortunately they found out about humanity when humans sent a satellite into space that got sucked into a black hole. The aliens found it and traced it back to Earth. They liked Earth and saw humans as inferior creatures, making it easy to invade and make humans their subjects. All thanks to NASA who designed that satellite.

Humans hate to admit it, but the aliens made Earth a hundred times more civilized than human rulers ever could. Africa and many hot countries benefited greatly from the improvements, as aliens prefer hot weather.

When you and your friend Iker exit the university grounds and walk into the streets, you make sure to avoid looking at any aliens. If you look at aliens without permission, they're allowed to strike you—that's the law. This is why you avoid staring into their eyes.

But today, you accidentally lock eyes with one of the aliens. Never have you made that mistake before, but today you did it by accident. You try to look away, but the creature strikes you harshly across the face. The male alien appears to be in his early twenties with the typical grey skin and green eyes, yet he has long horns and ears that distinguish him from others.

"Savage human," he insults you with a grin as you wince in pain.

"I apologize," you say, not wanting to spend time in jail for arguing.

Thinking the situation is over, you start to walk away, but Iker won't let it pass. He punches the alien across the face—a huge mistake. In mere seconds, your friend's head is sliced from his shoulders while you're arrested for the incident.

You spend thirteen hours in jail, crying for two hours straight after what happened to Iker. The safety you thought the law provided was an illusion. Your friend is dead, and you can't do anything about it because the killer is one of the invaders. Those aliens can get away with anything except killing their own kind and corruption.

You learned the name of your friend's killer: Xylothax. In their language, it means 'prince of the stars' and is pronounced 'Xylotháx.'

You're placed in a white cell alone with just a bed. While deep in thought, an alien police officer approaches the cell followed by Xylothax.

"What do you want?" you inquire meekly, your voice dry from crying.

"I have come here to make a deal that shall please both of us," he responds.
