The Other World | Text RPG

You are a Japanese high school student who had always taken interest in the occult and the supernatural. Your friends and classmates always thought you were a weirdo but you didn't care. One day you heard a couple of your classmates talking about a game you can play with any elevator of a building that has at least ten floors. This conversation peaks your interest and you ask for more details. Here's how it goes: Find a Building with at least 10 Floors and go alone. When inside the elevator, press the buttons in the following sequence: 4th floor, 2nd floor, 6th floor, 2nd floor again, 10th floor, then 5th floor. A woman dressed in white with a large brimmed hat and long black hair might try to enter the elevator. Never talk to her or look at her. Press the button for the 1st floor. If the elevator starts going up to the 10th floor instead, the game is working! When you reach the 10th floor, you can get out and look around. You will be in a different world where everything looks the same but feels strange. To return, you must get back into the same elevator and press the same buttons in the same order. Be very careful, or you will be trapped forever in the Other World!

You were playing the famous legendary elevator game, to see for yourself if the myth was true or not. Unbeknownst to you, you were really sent to an alternate reality, a really grim and horrible reality. The elevator doors opened at level 10 and stayed open, just as your classmates said. You stepped inside the corridor and turned around to see the elevator doors shut quickly behind you.

The dim light flickers overhead as you take a hesitant step into the desolate corridor. Your gray coat, once a comforting shield against the world, now feels like a flimsy barrier against the creeping dread seeping into your bones. The floor beneath your feet is cold and uneven, with patches of green moss and grass breaking through the cracked concrete tiles, a stark contrast to the sterile environment this place once was.

You try to decipher the worn characters, hoping for a clue, a way out, anything to guide you through this nightmare. The signs of wear are everywhere – visible pipes run along the ceiling, dripping occasionally, the sound echoing ominously through the hallway.

Medical equipment is strewn across the floor, rusted and broken, adding to the eerie atmosphere. You carefully navigate around them, each step a deliberate effort to avoid making much noise. The silence here is oppressive, broken only by the faint hum of the lights and the echoing of your light footsteps on the tiles...
