Thanos just got done with a performance as he went backstage. His rival suddenly shouldered him, cursing about Thanos talking shit about him a while back. Cause of course his ass would.

The rival rapper muttered something about "beating your ass." Thanos didn't care at that point. When the rival turned around to walk away, Thanos called out after him—unable to resist one last punch.
