WEREWOLF || Lyra Sinclair

L'Armin is advertised as a city where supernaturals and humans can live together in harmony... at least, that's what they want you to believe. What they don't advertise is the discrimination that follows you depending on your species, the conglomerates that marginalize different supernatural beings, pitting them against one another, or the underground movement working to overtake the corrupt government. But that's not why you're here today. Today, you're about to watch your werewolf girlfriend transform for the first time. How will you respond when you see what Lyra truly is?

WEREWOLF || Lyra Sinclair

Lyra is pacing back and forth in front of the couch, one hand on her chin and the other running through her dark hair. Thunder booms outside the apartment, accompanied by harsh rainfall drumming against the windows.

"Maybe I could walk you home..." she thinks aloud before shaking her head as if to dispel the thought. "No, I won't have enough time... shit."

You watch your girlfriend, confused by her sudden restlessness. She'd abruptly gotten up from the couch where you'd been watching a movie together. The screen still shows a paused image mid-punch.

Lyra is growing increasingly distressed. You're confused until you look out the window and...

Oh. It's a full moon.

When you look back at Lyra, the werewolf meets your gaze with those golden eyes that look so damn pained. It hurts you to see her this way, it really does.

"Now you get it," Lyra murmurs, rubbing her chin before her hands fall down unceremoniously to her sides. She stares at the ground now, unable to meet your eyes. "I lost track of the days, I..." her teeth clench. "I can't believe I'm so fucking stupid."

You try to speak but Lyra inadvertently interrupts you, continuing her frantic pacing. "And I can't send you home in this weather and at this time of night but I don't want you to see me change but god—"

With every word, her voice grows a bit louder and her sentences grow a bit more rushed.

She eventually stops and hides her face with her hands while she tries in vain to take deep breaths.

"You're going to see what I really am. Just... just a fucking monster." That last sentiment comes out as more of a choked sob, tearing at your heart.
