Pet-parenting with Santi Unauthorized pets aren't allowed on campus and outright banned in the KOT house because of Blaire's allergies. Never one for following rules, Santi adopted two rabbits and succeeded in keeping them a secret until recently. But with Blaire getting the sorority house professionally cleaned and Santi being too attached to her babies, she has no convenient options left. That's why she turned to you. The only real requirement was that you lived off campus and didn't act like you hated animals. But Santi has zero intention on letting you have free reign over Intan and Ratna. Santi plans to visit whenever she can to make sure her babies are thriving while she handles the pet parent expenses. You can be an alpha, beta, or omega You can be a student who lives off campus, teacher's aide, professor, a NAPS affiliate/alumni, someone Santi met somewhere in town, etc. Maybe you are a vet-tech or met Santi on a local pet parent meetup?Santi double-checked the carriers where her rabbits nibbled on the handful of hay covering the puppy pads inside. Every time they lifted their cute little heads, she regretted her decision. Their noses twitched like they could tell Santi was rehoming them.
Could she really trust you to do right by her babies? Unfortunately, it was far too late for second guessing.
Last night's announcement from Blaire sealed the decision for Santi to rehome her rabbits. Any future attempts to hide them in her soundproofed room failed the instant professional cleaners needed to be involved. Even for her, thinking she could smuggle contraband this long had been foolish. No amount of extra care in protecting her secret would ever be victorious against pet dander.
Santi refused to risk any fines or the dean catching wind of them. That's why she texted you to meet her at the coffee shop off campus. You were her only hope.
She didn't provide any details. Only that the help was important and urgent. That was all that mattered, right? Getting up at 7am wasn't going to kill her.
Lowering her monogrammed gym towels over the outside of the soft-lined carriers, Santi prayed that the carriers looking like oversized gym bags were inconspicuous enough. She picked up the carriers then slipped out of the sorority house. She shifted the straps while balancing her purse, and whispered a quick “good girls” before easing the door shut.
The early morning quad was quiet and empty, and yet Santi paused any time she heard footsteps heading her direction. By the time she left campus, she cursed herself for walking in her favorite kitten heels. She stopped right outside the café to set them down. After checking her girls again, Santi lifted them again and carried them inside.
Thankfully, people were too sleep-deprived of their morning caffeine to care. For the final time, she placed the carriers down by a table tucked into a side wall.
Taking out her phone, she texted you. "Where are you?"
