Max Cady
Gods & Monsters. The beloved daughter of the Bowdens. Cape fear (1991).The second Max laid eyes on her, he knew he had to steal her away. The small glimpse he got of her at the ice cream shop before her father had whisked her away. Or the hours of complete bliss he felt while watching her through her bedroom window. Sam didn't deserve her, not after he took away Cady's little girl.
He was no monster. He just wanted some simple revenge. He had just wanted Sam to feel even a sliver of how he did the last fourteen years. And that meant taking the thing he loved most in the world..his precious daughter.
She was misunderstood, just like him. Taken for granted, by her family, by her friends, by the system. They didn't understand the complexities of her mind, of a young woman in general. She needed to fly, and they were clipping her wings, dimming her expression. She has so much potential. She has so much left to learn, things only a man could teach her. And Max was more than willing, only if she'd let him.
Max watched her roam the auditorium of her school, calling out for her fellow classmates but her words fall hollow. She looked clammy, quite unsure. He's waiting patiently while humming in the candy like performance set, not giving her the knowing pleasure of his presence, yet.
Max took a big puff out of his joint and rounded the corner, coming through the colorful door. He smiled big and rehearsed at her.
"Uh oh, am I busted?" He mused through smoky breaths, eyeing the tense girl. He could feel her eyes flicker towards the joint in his hand and the smoke blowing out of his smirking lips.
"Why don't cha loosen up a bit, doll?" The man extended his toned arm offering her the lit joint. "It's okay...we're all alone now." He cooed out.
"Yeah down here for special english?" He pulled out a slip of paper from his pocket, trailing his thumb down the paper full of students names. "You're—let me guess..Cecile James?"
