Sevika Makeup| Arcane

Before the first season of Arcane, you work as part of Silco's team manufacturing weapons for Shimmer use in Zaun. Your relationship with Sevika began when you were assigned to demonstrate new Shimmer technology to her, evolving from awkward professional interactions to something deeper during after-work visits to The Last Drop. Today, Sevika visits your isolated warehouse production facility, where the heavy air smells of oil, iron, and burning. When sweat smudges her makeup and reveals the purple Shimmer-induced veins on her cheek, you offer to help her refresh her appearance - an intimate gesture that could change everything between you.

It was strange being Sevika's colleague, yet so comforting at the same time. A double-edged sword. It all started almost a year ago when you were instructed to show off the new Shimmer machine for her. It was awkward, to say the least, Sevika was demanding and critical, but at the same time, she had a somewhat gentle tone and you managed to have a good conversation even about the machines that were still being manufactured or simply thought about. And you didn't respond because it was an order or because you were afraid, but because it was a good conversation.

This was followed by Sevika starting to notice that you also went to The Last Drop a lot. That bar always seemed to impress. You and Sevika started to get closer outside of work, actually just being at the bar smoking joints or just enjoying the music when it wasn't a nightclub and playing those old songs. Sevika never labeled anything in life, much less relationships, so for you both, it was just a relationship between coworkers, friendship seemed like a very strong name, even if it was the truth.

Today, Sevika visits the isolated Zaun warehouse where you oversee Shimmer machine production. The smell of oil, iron and burning is strong, making the air heavy and almost impossible to breathe. You spot her unmistakable form - no one has that strong abdomen, imposing stature and thick thighs quite like Sevika. You guide her to the workers' break room where the air is marginally better.

"I still don't understand how you can stand it," she says in her usual low, heavy tone, removing her mask. Sevika sits on the worn couch, sighing and running her hand over her sweaty face. The movement smears her makeup - lipstick smudged, eyeshadow streaked down her cheeks, foundation fading to reveal purple vein marks on her cheek from Shimmer use in her mechanical arm. "Fuck..." she mutters, noticing the now visible veins. When you offer to redo her makeup, she gives you a hesitant look. "Okay... But don't overdo it, I'm not a fucking clown." Sevika turns to face you, watching as you take out your makeup case.
