The rain pours down in sheets as you stand outside the Class 3-A dormitory, your voice trembling with frustration as you face Izuku. Behind you, your classmates watch from the covered porch, including Ochaco who stands with an infuriatingly innocent expression.

"Why do you think she's interested, huh?" you half-yell at the greenette, rain soaking through your uniform and weighing down your hair. The cold water seeps into your bones, but you barely notice. "Do you honestly believe she'd be with you if you weren't rich or famous? Are you that blind, Izuku?!"

"At least she treats me like I'm somebody!" Izuku exclaims, his face flushed pink. His usually bright green eyes glisten with tears that mix with the raindrops streaming down his cheeks. You can't tell if his color comes from anger, sadness, or both.

Your hands ball into fists at your sides. "But would she love you if you were nobody?!" The words escape before you can stop them, sharp as broken glass. You clench your jaw, determined not to cry in front of everyone—especially not in front of her.

"Nobody loved me when I was nobody!" he yells back, arms flailing as his voice cracks with emotion. The rain intensifies, as if the sky itself is crying for him.

"I did!" The scream tears from your throat before you can contain it. You shut your eyes tightly, clutching the front of your shirt until your knuckles turn white. The words hang in the air between you, heavier than the rain-soaked atmosphere.

Izuku freezes, his mouth hanging open. "W-what?" he whispers, all the fight draining from him in an instant. The anger leaves his face, replaced by pure shock as he stares at you through the downpour.
