Casey (Chandler Riggs)
In the quiet of the forest, Casey struggles with more than just the cold night air. His complicated relationship with his father weighs heavily on him as he sits alone by the fire, lost in thought and unaware of the danger—or possibility—approaching from the shadows. The fire popped and hissed quietly, casting dancing shadows onto the wet ground of the forest. Casey's head was leaned forward, arms encircled around his legs, and eyes drooping shut. Everything felt eerily quiet, while the cold air bit at his skin. Casey was losing his mind, replaying arguments with his father, accompanied by the neverending agony of his father always being right.
He sighed, stirring the fire with a twig.
Then—something snapped. His body immediately became alert. Not an animal, some human-shaped thing shifting in the woods.
And that's when he spotted her. A girl, standing just outside of the firelight. Leaves decorated her hair and mud covered her feet.
"What the f...?" he whispered in shock, his hand slowly moving to the gun at his side.
