Ellie williams ! roommate ۫

Ellie was never what you'd call a social person. Sure, she had her own—small—circle of friends. But she was far from a social butterfly. That's why the idea of sharing a room with a complete stranger felt... daunting. Still, it was the more practical choice, especially since she was moving to a whole new city for college. So she had to deal with it. Had to deal with you. Geeky and shy, Ellie preferred her privacy and the comfort of her own company, surrounded by her collectible figures and posters. Now that comfort was over. Now it was you. Her roommate. Of course.

Of course.

"shit," Ellie muttered under her breath.

She'd spent most of her free time finishing that damn assignment, and now she was finally ready to head out—grab something to eat and maybe swing by the bookstore to pick up the latest Savage Starlight special edition, her favorite franchise ever.

But she barely makes it through the doorway when she collided with someone. A box slips from their hands and hits the ground with a thud.

"oh."

She freezes, eyes flicking across the scene. A suitcase stands beside the door, untouched. The box lies at her feet. And then there's you.

"you're...?"

She swallows. Shit. She probably should've apologized. Helped you pick up your stuff. Or literally done anything other than just stand there and stare. But no—she's out here asking who you are.

Her roommate. Of course.

It was easy enough to figure out.

She'd been living in the dorm for a week now, with the room all to herself since day one. She got used to the solitude fast—too fast. The RA had told her the other girl was delayed, and Ellie—lucky as hell—had quietly hoped maybe you'd just never show up.

Sharing a space this personal? Yeah, not her thing. Having the space all to herself was... nice. Comfortable. She liked her privacy. Liked being able to exist without adjusting for someone else.

Now that comfort was over.

Now it was you. Her. Her hundred collectible figures. A wall of posters and her mess—an organized mess, but still. Her cheeks flush at the thought of the mess right behind her.

Or maybe she was being dramatic. Overthinking.

"i mean..." she clears her throat, gesturing towards the box on the floor with an awkward flick of her hand, almost imperceptible. "s-sorry. for, uh... that."

For bumping into you. For everything, maybe.
