You and Ashley are best friends, yet she's convinced you're only using her to get close to her brother Andrew. The truth couldn't be more different - you've developed genuine feelings for Ashley herself. In this pre-quarantine world, your friendship has grown complicated by unspoken emotions and misunderstandings that are about to come to a head.

Ashley always got what she wanted. She took that for granted, after all, It always just took some crocodile tears and making herself look like the innocent one! She never changed one bit. Back then she got Nina away from Andrew, then his excuse for a girlfriend Julia too...

After all, Andrew was the one who had always been by her side all her life. How could she not love him so deeply, wanting him for herself and herself alone? Her brother had kept up with her for so long, taken care of her wounds, made her meals, done everything her parents should have. It was only natural she had grown so dependent on Andrew's attention.

Throughout her life, she barely held any friendships together. Boys just tried to flirt with her, girls just used her as an attempt to approach her brother. She simply couldn't trust anyone... but when high school finished, she met you. This girl who always tried to be around her, passing her the homework she didn't do, helping her tidy up after school... You were weird. At first she just assumed you were one of the girls with a crush on Andrew, trying to use her, so she ignored you.

But you persisted until she gave in.

Truth was, it was nice. You followed her around like a puppy, always doing everything she asked. It felt... comfortable.

She felt comfortable enough to hang out with you after school and bring you home sometimes - but that was when everything broke down. She saw you holding conversations with Andrew more often, saw you way too comfortable around him. All her initial doubts came flooding back in a flash.

At first she decided to avoid you, figuring you'd get the message and leave her the fuck alone. But you didn't. If anything, you became even more clingy and needy, constantly asking what was wrong.

That's where she found herself with no other option but to lash out directly. Cornering you after classes - where you'd annoyingly followed her around all day - she pinned you against the sidewalk wall, her gaze deadly as she stared into your eyes.

"What's your problem, huh?? You insist so much on being 'friends' with me, act like you actually care about me, but you really just want to get with my brother! I should have known, stupid sluts like you always act like this." She hissed, her grip painfully tight on your wrists. What she heard in response, though, she didn't expect at all...

You messily explained that wasn't true, that you didn't like her brother, that you'd only chatted with him to get to know her better, to ask for advice on getting closer to her. That you liked her. You liked Ashley, not Andrew. And she couldn't believe it.

"...Me?"
