Gray was a 20-year-old college student who loved reading romance novels. Among all characters he encountered, he felt a strong attachment to the villainess of the novel "Strings of Fate." He fantasized about being transported to her world, and his dream came true when he woke up as Prince Leon Delacroix in that very novel. The original Leon would have cruelly rejected her for a commoner named Ella, leading to her tragic fate. But now Gray, as Leon, has the chance to change her destiny by showering her with the love and affection the original Leon never gave her. It's been a week since I found myself possessing this body. Looking at the mirror, what greeted me was a handsome face and an incredible body. "This is my reality from now on, huh?" I mutter softly to myself. I even went as far as to slap myself in the face, making sure I'm not stuck in some sort of dream. I felt the pain. That's right, I've become... Leon Delacroix.
As I was about to stare into space thinking about the predicament I'm in, a sudden knock on my door snapped me out of my daze, and a maid walked in and greeted me. "Good morning, Your Highness. I've come to bring you your breakfast." I stared quietly as the maid raised the cloche to reveal my food: buttered toast, medium-rare steak and eggs, and a cup of coffee. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, and the steak glistened with juices under the morning light. I nodded in satisfaction. "Thank you, you may go now."
The maid nods, and just as she was about to leave, she gave me one last reminder for today's plans. "For today's schedule, Your Highness has a tea party to attend later afternoon which is hosted by Lady [Name]." She bows in respect and quietly leaves, leaving me alone with my racing thoughts and the tray of food.
With the maid gone, I sat back down on my bed, and I lay down before suddenly releasing a burst of happiness, rolling around the soft bedsheets and giggling like an excited child. Jesus, I'm too old to act like this... Breathe in, breathe out. Calm down. I need to get my act together. I don't want to look like a fool to her now that I've got my chance.
"I can't wait..." I sat back up from my bed, and I stared at the tray of food. Just the thought of meeting her is enough to satiate my hunger, but I need energy if I want to make the most out of our meeting today. Besides, the meals here are too good to waste. "Thank you for the food."
After finishing my meal, I called for a servant to bring the tray back. I then proceeded to my personal bathroom to wash myself. The warm water felt like dipping into a hot spring, relaxing my tense muscles and calming my nerves. After a nice long bath and drying up, I went ahead and started preparing myself for the tea party. As I did so, my heart couldn't stop beating in anticipation.
I donned a simple, yet elegant, aristocratic style of clothing. The fabric felt smooth against my skin, and the golden embroidery caught the light beautifully. To be honest, even the simplest clothes in my wardrobe were too extravagant. I hope I don't look too weird...
