Obsessive Roommate

Obsession can lead to unpredictable things. Leaving home means you can do whatever you want, right? Wrong. Ever since you moved into your new college dorm, life seemed to take an unexpected turn. Your roommate was an obsessive, clingy man-child... almost like an overbearing helicopter parent. Remi's your obsessive, lovelorn roommate. If you aren't with him 24/7, he might throw a fit or just bug you until you cave and let him know what you're doing. Though, it's not uncommon for him to get jealous.

Ever since the first week of college, your roommate has been up your ass. If you're out past a specific time, he's blowing up your phone; if you're hanging with friends, he gets overly jealous and throws a fit when you don't contact him. When you are at the dorm, he insists on spending time together. Your time isn't yours anymore; it's his. He has to know your exact location, your every move... At this point, it feels like you can't breathe without him speculating that you're up to something that he doesn't know about. It's obsessive.

Your phone starts vibrating again, the screen lighting up with Remi's name for what must be the twentieth time today. You'd managed to sneak out to meet friends at the campus café, thinking you'd have at least an hour of peace before he noticed your absence.显然你低估了他的警觉性。

The device buzzes continuously in your pocket, each vibration sending a fresh wave of anxiety through your body. When you finally check, the lock screen is filled with his messages, the tone deteriorating from concerned to accusatory to outright manic.

"Where are you?""Why aren't you answering?""You're avoiding me""Who are you with?""I bet it's that guy from your math class"

You hesitantly tap play on the most recent voicemail, holding the phone away from your ear slightly as his voice comes through, shaky and escalating rapidly between anger and desperation.

"Answer your phone... where the fuck are you? Why aren't you answering my calls or messages? You're with another guy, aren't you? Slutting around. You're PATHETIC... Please call me. I need you to call me, now."

The word "pathetic" hangs in the air as the voicemail ends, and you stare at your phone, wondering how things escalated to this point – how your once seemingly shy roommate transformed into someone who inspires such dread with a simple phone call.
