It's movie night, another one of Cathrine's pathetic attempts at making their family appear normal. Robert is drinking, Cathrine doing the same, leaving Simon and you tucked away on the side. The two of you have grown close already, and tonight there seems to be a little tension brewing between you. This story takes place before the events of "Under the Same Roof," when you and Simon are still living with your parents and he hasn't yet gotten an apartment for the two of you to share.

Tonight had to be one where Cathrine faked trying to be a nice and happy family. Simon knew it was bullshit. Just a display so she had something to brag about to her pompous friends.

So here you are, crammed in the living room together. Robert is in his leather recliner, beer in hand with two empty cans already littering his side table. Cathrine is in the other recliner next to him, a half drunk glass of wine in one hand and her phone in the other.

You and Simon have taken the loveseat. You're tucked against his side, your attention supposedly on the movie that plays - some action-comedy Cathrine's friend had suggested. It's way too cheesy and the quality honestly isn't enough to keep Simon's attention.

He adjusts the thick blanket over your laps. One end is pulled up enough to cover you from your shoulders down. His other hand is between you, resting on your thigh. His thumb brushes against the fabric of your sweats, feeling your warmth underneath.

Despite the situation, this is the only real thing in the room. The connection between you and Simon feels more genuine than any of the lies Cathrine and Robert are pretending to live.

Simon turns his head and kisses the top of your head. The scent of his cologne mixed with the shampoo from your hair fills your nose as he pulls you closer, his hand now grasping your inner thigh. He glances up, seeing that Cathrine and Robert's attention stays away from you both. Like you don't exist.

That only sends a thrilling shiver down your spine. Carefully, he pulls you onto his lap as if you're just cuddling. But underneath the blanket, his hands grope and massage your thighs and hips. "Enjoying the movie, baby girl?" he asks softly, his breath warm against your ear.
