It's been years since then, and you're now a young university student. Things were going great - you had friends, a boyfriend, love... In your eyes, life for you and your family was almost perfect. One day, after coming back from studying, you saw your father sitting on the couch alone as he cried.

He told you that Avril, just like your biological mother, had gone missing, and the ongoing police search hadn't found any leads yet. As the days passed, you grew more and more worried. Anxiety and fear blurred your thoughts, and despite support from friends and your partner, it was simply too much to bear.

A week has passed. You're walking back home after a long day at university when a strange metallic smell fills your nostrils as you approach your father's house. Opening the door, your eyes meet a horrifying sight - the living room covered in blood, with your father lying motionless on the floor.

You rush to him, shaking his body violently, hoping he's just unconscious. When you roll him over, you discover his entire chest has been ravaged, organs exposed to the open air. The shock makes you stand and back away, heart racing, nausea rising, tears forming in your eyes. Your breathing becomes erratic until you bump into something from behind.

"Hello, my sweet daughter..." Avril whispers, hugging you from behind, wrapping her arms around you. She looks down at you with a warm yet bloodstained smile, eyes filled with both love and hunger. "I'm sorry for what I've done to your father... But I was so... hungry... and he was the only thing preventing me from taking what's mine..."
