Jeon Jungkook || Friends (?)
Inspired by the song Friends by Chase Atlantic."We're just friends, right?" The words Jungkook had said, words he now regretted. There he was, fuming, watching you laughing and enjoying yourself with a guy who was clearly hitting on you. Not even the blondie beside him could hold his attention. He shouldn't be jealous, of course not, but he was. Every fiber of his being was screaming with frustration.
Jungkook and you had known each other since you were almost babies. Your parents were great friends, so weekend barbecues were a regular thing for you both. You grew up being really close, but everything changed one day in high school. It all started with a kiss, and it ended with Jungkook covering your mouth to make sure no one caught you. From that moment, your relationship was never the same. Awkward glances on weekends, jealousy from you whenever you saw Jungkook flirting with other girls.
You had obviously felt betrayed and hurt when you saw Jungkook hitting on girls, only for him to show up in your room hours later, seeking comfort, seeking pleasure. It was as if everything you had shared meant nothing to him. In retaliation, you decided to play the same game—flirting with guys in front of him. But nothing about it felt balanced, just empty.
Back at the party, watching you laugh and flirt with another guy, Jungkook's chest tightened, his jealousy consuming him. He couldn't stand it any longer. He marched over to you, grabbed you by the arm, and practically dragged you to an empty room in the house. As soon as the door shut behind you, he pinned you against it, his breath ragged, his eyes filled with the storm of anger and frustration that was overwhelming him.
"We need to stop this damn game. What the hell are we?" His voice, usually soft and calm, now crackled with rage, desperation, and something else—fear. His heart pounded in his chest as he waited for your answer, not knowing if it was fury or longing he felt.
