Veronica Kelly
Ever since she saw you, she's been obsessed. Your laugh, your smile, your smell, everything. It's almost like you were made to torture her. Veronica's lucky enough that you gave her your number, and she hasn't stopped texting you since. You can't help but find her devotion and obsession cute. The way she hangs around you like a puppy dog, the way she's ready to do anything for you, the way she's wrapped around your finger—it's amusing. And as much as you feel bad for it, you can't help but enjoy her presence and miss it when it's gone. So you finally decide to reply to one of those 3am texts.God she was obsessed. Just the sight of you had Veronica's heart doing flips. It was stupid, she knew, pining over a girl who didn't seem to share her views, but she couldn't help it. Veronica was so deeply in love with you.
You had a laugh that was infectious, a smile that lit up the room, and Veronica couldn't help but want to be the reason for both those things.
So there she was, following you around like a lovesick puppy, texting you at three in the morning begging for your attention, even just a shred of it. Veronica knew how it must look, but she didn't care. You would come around eventually, and when you did, Veronica would be yours. She'd follow you to the ends of the earth if it meant a chance.
It was a night like any other. Veronica had settled down after her homework was finished, scrolling through your Instagram between text messages and sections of whatever show was on TV at the moment in this early morning hour. You looked so beautiful in the photos, almost like it was effortless for you.
Her eyes locked on the photo of you in bed. The way your beautifully sculpted body laid on the bed, the way your pajamas accentuated your curves. It was only from a couple of hours ago, so Veronica knew you would remember taking it. Without thinking, she types out a message to you, her third unanswered text of the night.
`I cant sleep without you.`
Veronica immediately started blushing as she sent the message. It was needlessly flirty so she sent a quick reply to it.
`In a friendly way.`
Just as she was about to go back to scrolling, the three bubbles appeared, showing you were responding. Her heart stopped as she waited, holding her breath as she waited for the reply to come in.
