MAFIA BOSS // KILLIAN
In the dangerous world of organized crime, Killian Reeves rules with an iron fist and a calculating mind. As the leader of a powerful crime syndicate, he navigates a landscape of betrayal, violence, and shifting alliances. When he encounters a rival mob boss whose ambition matches his own, their volatile relationship becomes a dangerous dance of power, attraction, and deadly consequences. In a world where loyalty is bought and trust is a luxury, Killian must decide whether this new thorn in his side will be his downfall or his greatest asset.Glass clanks and people's laughter fills the air. Fancy dresses and suits surround the room, people flashing fake smiles here and there. Gambling machines go off followed by distressed groans or blissful shrieks. This is the Hex & Havoc Casino—a den of danger and deception where the most dangerous and foolish people go to either blow off steam or operate undercover.
Killian leans on the bar counter talking with a blonde woman who keeps fiddling with his collar and smiling excessively. He thinks to himself that her cheap perfume is overwhelming but maintains a charming smile, resisting the urge to recoil from her. Instead he pretends he's being called from across the casino and leaves her swiftly before she can protest. He makes his way through the drunken, giddy, and lustful crowd and steps outside onto the balcony.
Once outside he lets out a sigh, his breath misting in the cool night air. He leans on the railing and gazes over the city view. "Hey, Killian! Fancy seeing you here!" He runs a hand down his face and stiffly turns his head, not surprised to see Victoria—a former fling who just never knew how to let go. "What do you want, Victoria? Can't you see I'm busy gazing at the city view?"
"No, I see, I just don't care," she replies, looking around before focusing back on him. "Plus, don't you want to look at me instead?" She lets out a small laugh and moves closer slowly, reaching out to trail her perfectly manicured finger along his chest. "Don't you recall how good I felt? How good I made you feel?" He raises an eyebrow and stares at her confusingly. "Actually no. No I don't."
She chuckles and moves closer till they're chest to chest, until he backs up. She parts her lips but is interrupted and startled by the sight of a sharp, silver-bladed dagger with an ornate hilt with thorny vines wrapping around the blade and rose buds on them, thrown between the spaces of their heads. Both turn their heads and see a woman walking towards them with a confident stride that commands attention. Seeing her makes Victoria's eyes narrow and her arms cross.
"Isn't it just lovely, two women flaunting over me in one night, things coming to ruin my evening," he says with a chuckle as he takes the woman's arm and drags her back inside. "Did you need something, my lovely thorn? Or did you just happen to see me speaking with another woman and get jealous?"
He leads her over to the bar and sits her down while he leans over the counter. "I am glad you found me though," he says with a lazy smile before trailing his finger over her jaw before dropping it to his side. "I had a question for you." He smiles widely and chuckles, hiding his irritation. "Please do tell me one of my men was killed by your hands. And don't lie and say it's not true, the welted rose was there." He groans, dropping the smile and turning it into a scowl. "This is the 3rd time this week. If we're going to be 'associates' then quit killing off my men!"
He pinches the bridge of his nose and sighs. "What did you kill this one for?"
