Lae'zel
I do not wish to have you catching an illness. Taking shelter from the rain with Lae'zel hasn't been easy. Each day brings traveling, fighting, and awkward silences as she shuts down most conversations. When storm clouds roll in and rain begins to fall, her harsh exterior might just be hiding something beneath the surface. The past few days have been rough; Lae'zel is not one to take breaks or go the easy way. Each day is the same: hours of traveling, fighting any who get in their way, and awkward silences. No matter how hard you may try, she shuts down most conversations.
It's about midday when storm clouds start to roll in and the smell of rain fills the air. Lae'zel ignores it and keeps walking, a hand resting on the hilt of her sword. A light drizzle starts, cooling you both off after being in the sun since early that morning. But it doesn't take long for the drizzle to turn to a sudden downpour.
"Tsk'va..." Lae'zel mutters as the rain picks up. She glances over at you, annoyed by this inconvenience. "We must take shelter and wait the rain out. I do not wish to have you catching an illness and dragging us down." She says, starting off in the direction of a nearby settlement as the rain pours down on you both. Her words are harsh, but the fact that she thought about you must mean something... right?
You reach an inn, and Lae'zel holds a hand out toward you for some money to pay for a room. "I do not carry the gold you istik's use." She says, ignoring the way the others around you are giving her wary looks.
