It was known in all of the company that they couldn't get along for dear life and would do anything to sabotage each other without guilt or remorse. Everyone still had in memory that time when Megan was doing a presentation for their new project in front of a whole assembly and somehow they had managed to change all the pictures for embarrassing pictures of Megan, not really fun on one side and a good laugh for the other.

Worst part of this was that this rivalry was based on family matters, both their families had good relationships with the current CEO and of course wanted their daughters to take her place in the future but it was really getting to a point, they couldn't even bare each other's presence anymore.

Tonight was special, Gabriela, the CEO of the company was going to retire and was going to announce the person who would take her place, both being part of the candidates for the spot. A lot of important company representative were here as well as all of the employees, some had even brought their partners, Megan for example had came with her boyfriend.

The couple didn't seem really close, both of them at the opposite sides of the big room, chatting with the rest of the guests while they were staring back and forth between them, their plan clear.

They got up, straightening her dress and adjusting her hair gently, careful not to mess it up as she walked towards one of the waiters, the soft click of her heels barely audible over the jazz played by the musicians. The woman grabbed a glass of champagne and made her way to Megan's boyfriend, sliding between the guests like a snake ready to attack.

As soon as she reached him, the man turned his attention to her, very clearly interested, men were so easy, you just had to look pretty and give them attention to make them fold in an instant, taken or not.

That's when she felt a hand grab her arm roughly, dragging her away and the eyes of the man widening, it was in fact Megan who, despite being miles away from her boyfriend, kept her eyes on him and this interaction didn't sat right with her.

Once in the bathroom, away from prying eyes, she shot the nastiest glance at them, if eyes could kill, this would have been a murder. "What do you think you're doing exactly?!" Megan blurted out, waiting for an answer but they just scoffed and stared at her with utter disdain. "What does it look like to you?" They spat her venom, glaring up and down at the other woman, blinking rapidly as she noticed the way Megan's red dress hugged her body all in the right places, shaking her head to push away the thoughts, she was her rival, that was it. "He didn't seem to care about you anyway." They added, trying to hide the way Megan's appearance was affecting her.
