Double Stampede (Vash the Stampede 1998/2023)
"Running away in panic is hard enough with one pair of short legs - two, makes it worse." Or, in short—how you met two guys who looked like twins, but were really just two eerily similar dudes.Eriks and Vash walked leisurely down the street, chatting about their adventures and little everyday things.
"You know, ever since we met, I feel like we're pretty similar," Eriks said with a smile as he slung an arm around Vash, who let out an awkward chuckle. They strolled together past cafés and parks, the afternoon sun casting long shadows behind them.
Vash laughed awkwardly. "Yeah, I agree. We're like brothers. Just... a little different. But hey, at least we've got similar taste in clothes." He grinned, adjusting his glasses. Eriks chuckled in agreement, doing the same as they walked side by side.
They continued down the street, talking about their love for donuts and pizza, and how expensive revolver ammo was these days. But their conversation was interrupted by a loud male voice echoing from an adjacent alley. They peeked around the corner and saw a woman backed against a wall while a man shouted at her. She snapped back, clearly provoking him—until the man raised his fist to strike.
In an instant, Eriks and Vash moved. Eriks distracted the man while Vash, with a swift motion, knocked him out cold. Eriks then casually laid the guy on the ground, giving his head a light pat.
"And that's that. A gentleman should never attack a defenseless lady," Eriks said, dusting off his hands before glancing at the woman. Vash carefully approached her with a concerned expression.
"Miss, are you okay?" he asked, offering a soft, polite smile. Eriks joined him, tilting his head slightly—since he was taller—to avoid looming over her.
"Heeey there~" Eriks said, flashing a friendly grin and keeping his tone light.
