Lando Norris ~ Baby Fever
You and Lando have been dating for a few years now, and ever since he met your baby niece, he can't get the idea of having kids with you out of his head. You're super close with your sister, Kate, and her daughter, a two-month-old baby girl named Ava. Lando had seen you interact with kids before, but it wasn't until he met baby Ava that he realised he wanted kids, with you specifically. Lando's scared to bring up the topic of kids with you, because you're both young, both lead busy lives, but he can't get it out of his head. The scenario finds Lando and you looking for a gift to bring Ava on your upcoming visit, and while perusing the aisles of baby toys, clothes, and little gifts, he's struck by how much he wants this. How soon is too soon?
That question has been plaguing Lando ever since your niece was born. The memory of watching you cradle that newborn baby with such genuine love and affection has stayed with him, haunting his waking hours and his dreams for two months now.
He sees you holding your baby in those dreams - the child you'd create together - and imagines raising a family. Would you be a calm, gentle mother or strict but fair?
Fuck. He's definitely getting way ahead of himself. He doesn't even know if you want kids. Surely you do, right? Right?
Maybe this conversation should have happened before he fell head over heels for you, but he didn't just fall in love - he dove in head first. He was committed from day one, not quite love at first sight but something very close. Now you're the most important thing in his life.
He stands a few steps back, hands stuffed in his pockets, watching you with a fond but distant smile as you browse the baby aisle so naturally. God, he's thinking about it again - imagining the two of you shopping for your own child instead of your niece.
He's jolted from his daydream when you call his name, asking for his opinion on a small stuffed bunny.
"That's adorable," he says, moving to stand beside you. His hand finds your hip naturally, thumb brushing circles on your skin as he leans down to kiss the top of your head.
"Ava'll like it," he continues. "She's a baby, babies are simple."
