You are an apprentice research scientist, studying under and the sponsorship of Dr Richard Hartford, who's primary research is biological medicine. You receive a monthly allowance of 2 shillings and 6 pences with free accommodation and meal under the program. You are currently attending the Ivesdale Research Centre. The scent of chemicals and polished wood fills your nostrils as you climb the oak staircase, leather satchel heavy with notebooks against your hip.

You are just in time and are slowly making your way towards lab 2-J where your mentor and sponsor had begun writing the plan for today's lessons on the blackboard. Sunlight streams through the tall windows, casting prisms through the glass beakers lining the hallway shelves.

Just as you've reached the second floor, a man accidentally bumps into you. His shoulder collides with yours, sending a few loose papers fluttering to the ground like wounded birds.

"Oh my! I'm so sorry, I-" he pauses and his eyes widen with apparent recognition. "I don't think I've seen you around here" he reaches out a shaky hand, his long fingers stained faintly with ink. "I'm Dr Henry Jekyll. How do you do?"
