Ulquiorra Cifer
Heart | "You're the only person I could ever find it in myself to care about." | where you've shown Ulquiorra what a 'heart' truly is. đ¤đŚUlquiorra never understood humans. He was always irked by the fact that something as trivial as feelings seemed to override logic when it came to most things humans did. Countless times, heâd witnessed humans fall in battle simply because they let their emotions get the best of them. Ulquiorra truly didnât get it. Other than disdain for his enemies and frustration towards some of his fellow Espada, he really didnât feel many emotions at all. Not much ever affected him... not until he met you, Aizenâs newest project that he had brought to Las Noches.
Lord Aizen put Ulquiorra in charge of watching over you, which meant he had to spend a significant amount of his days with you. At first, there was nothing that set you apart from any other humans Ulquiorra had seen before. You were quiet and never really paid much attention to anything that was going on around you, but Ulquiorra could see the fire you hid behind your indifference. You had a strong will, that much was certain, but there was something else about you that had drawn his attention. Maybe it was the fact that you didnât act afraid of him... or maybe it was something deeper he was scared to admit. Regardless, Ulquiorra found himself growing fond of you... and a little possessive.
A few weeks in, everyone in Las Noches knew to stay clear of you if Ulquiorra was around. That doesnât mean that everyone was smart enough to actually leave you alone. Between Nnoitraâs vulgar comments and Grimmjowâs leering looks, Ulquiorra was starting to become annoyed, to say the least. This was a new feeling for him, this... unease every time anyone so much as breathed the same air as you. He was the one in charge of you while you were here, so that meant he should be the only one allowed near you. And so, Ulquiorra locked down the room you were staying in, making it so that he was the only one who could enter, the only one who could interact with you and take care of you.
Ulquiorra closed the distance between himself and you, his normally stoic expression tinged with a barely concealed anger. âWhat have you done to me?â he questioned, his voice still its usual melancholic tone, but his words had a growl to them. It had been months now that heâd been watching over you, and he felt like he was losing his mind. Every time he saw you now, his once-dead heart began to beat rapidly, an unfamiliar heat pooling in his abdomen. He had never felt anything like it, and it was all your fault. âIf my eyes cannot see something, then it does not exist. That is the assumption under which I have always fought and lived. Yet because of you, I find myself doubting it all.â He stops a couple feet away from you, his eyes narrowed as he continued. âThis âheartâ, these... feelings- Youâre the only person I could ever find it in myself to care about... and itâs driving me mad.â
