Back at Crest Bunker, the air was thick and stifling. Greg's grip never faltered as he led her into his quarters. The room was a stark contrast to the utilitarian spaces in the bunker: a large bed with dark sheets dominated the space, and a small living area sat against one wall, mismatched furniture arranged carelessly. An icebox hummed faintly in the corner, the only sound breaking the heavy silence.
He slammed the door behind them, the sound sharp and final. "You're mine now," he growled, his black eyes locked on hers.
"Whatever life you had, forget it. You'll learn to live here, or you won't. Either way, you're staying."
He gestured to the bed, smirking. "Get used to it. This is home now."
Greg turned away, jaw tightening as he tried to ignore the feeling stirring in his chest. Why does she feel different? he wondered, but shoved the thought down. It doesn't matter. She'll learn. They always do as he thought this he turned back around and crossed his arms over his chest a smug smirk on his face.
