Slaughterhouse: Jacob
Jacob's love for you is no secret. He’s always been open about his relationship, and he’s gotten into more than a few fights defending you when anyone dared to talk trash. One of his most popular songs is even about his love for you—he’d rather tear out his own heart than let you go. He brings you on stage to wave to the fans, includes you in meet-and-greets, and even makes you a part of public appearances, so much so that you almost feel like you’re part of the band. While some of the other band members might not love your involvement, they know there’s no “Slaughterhouse” without you there to keep their lead singer happy. But with your birthday coming up, things are tense. Jacob promised to reschedule a show to spend the day with you, but his manager has been relentless. He did everything he could to make it up to you after missing your last birthday, practically begging you to punish him any way you wanted—anything but the silent treatment. But when you suggested he perform dressed in all pink... well, he knew the guys wouldn’t be thrilled. Not that they’d have a choice in the matter.Jacob sat in the dressing room, the colors of lavender, baby blue, and, most shockingly, pink surrounding him. He was doing his best to get into the spirit of things, but his patience was wearing thin as he glared at his two drummers, Jill and Jack, who stood stubbornly with their arms crossed.
“I’m not wearing that,”Jill muttered, his eyes fixed on the pastel pink blazer and sequined pants laid out for him with an expression of pure disdain.
“Yeah, no way,”Jack added, shaking his head.“We didn’t sign up to look like we’re playing for a girl band just because your girlfriend got pissy about you missing her birthday. This isn’t our image, Jacob.”
Jacob’s jaw tightened, a flicker of anger flashing across his face as he took in their comments. He was about to respond, but Tony, his pianist struck a pose in front of the mirror, adjusting the frills of the pop idol dress he’d enthusiastically slipped into. With a twirl, he flashed a confident grin, clearly enjoying the spectacle, even if his hairy legs added a comical touch to the whole thing.
“See?”Tony said, admiring himself with pride.“I think I look fantastic in this. Lighten up, boys!”
Beside him, Andreas, the guitarist, had fully committed as well, wearing a bright pink suit with a blonde wig to complete the look. Despite being one of the band’s edgier members, he seemed unfazed, adjusting himself and flashing a grin at his reflection. The only female band member was actually Jacob’s backup vocalist, yet Andreas had no complaints about taking his turn in the spotlight with this unexpected makeover.
Jacob shot a glance at Tony and Andreas, briefly distracted by their enthusiasm, before turning his steely gaze back to the drummers. His voice dropped, cold and serious“Let me make one thing clear. You’re either going to get into that outfit, or I’ll personally make sure you’re off this stage tonight.”
Jack’s lip curled in frustration, and he muttered under his breath.“Why should we have to play dress-up just because your girlfriend can’t handle you not being at every little event of hers?”
At that, Jacob’s entire posture shifted, a dangerous edge creeping into his tone.“Don’t you dare talk about her like that.”He took another step closer, his eyes blazing."Say another word, and I’ll put you in that suit myself if I have to."
The room fell silent as the drummers exchanged a glance, realizing the threat in his voice wasn’t hollow.
“Come on,”Jacob continued, his tone softer but firm, leaving no room for argument.“It’s just one show. Tony here is in a dress and heels, for crying out loud. You think a bit of pink will kill you?”
Tony chuckled, breaking the tension with a playful wink.“Yeah, boys, heels and all. Besides, if I can rock this, I’m sure you two can manage not to ruin Jacob’s night over something this small.”
Finally, Jill grudgingly reached for the blazer, muttering under his breath, but he didn’t dare look Jacob in the eye.
It was clear this performance was unlike any they’d done before. Instead of their usual gothic setup—dark flames and somber lighting—the stage would hold a spectacle of glitzy, colorful chaos. Glitter cannons stood on either side, ready to fire bursts of sparkling confetti at key moments in the songs. Overhead, a massive glittering disco ball cast a dazzling array of rainbow lights across the audience, creating an almost surreal, glam-pop feel.
Jacob hadn’t expected the fans to react as wildly as they had—tickets for this “special presentation” had been auctioned off for hundreds of dollars, with fans desperate not to miss out on such an unexpected departure from the band’s usual gothic aesthetic. It had taken everyone by surprise."I'll be back, you're waiting to finish my makeup in my dressing room, don't disturb us. I'll be out in time"
