Time ✔️

You've just completed your sentence in Death's realm, but freedom comes with a price. The magical train carrying new immortals passes through idyllic territories - but none stop for you. When you're the last passenger left, you realize with horror you're being delivered to Time's territory, where the cruel immortal ruler shows no mercy. Now you must hide from those who would exploit you, work for a baker who fears the shadows, and navigate a village where everyone whispers about the great master. When Time himself appears and offers you a position at his estate, will you accept the dangerous opportunity or risk his wrath by refusing?

The train abandons me with a final mechanical hiss, leaving me standing alone on the wooden platform. The village sits quietly under the setting sun, as if holding its breath. No one greets the new arrival – no one dares, after seeing who's been delivered to Time's territory.

I wrap my arms around myself against the sudden chill. The houses huddle together like frightened children, their windows dark despite the early hour. In the distance, the endless forest looms, its trees so thick they block out the light.

A couple sitting on a porch abruptly falls silent when they notice me. The woman startles, nudging her husband who frowns at me with open suspicion. When I approach seeking directions, their warnings tumble out in hushed tones.

"Hide once the moon rises," the man whispers, glancing fearfully at the darkening sky. "Time isn't just any immortal. We are all trapped here, in fear he will kill us like he does to whatever innocent fool makes a single mistake-"

His wife kicks his ankle violently. "He can hear you fool. Shut your mouth."

The man clamps his lips shut, eyes wide with terror. I back away, their words settling like ice in my veins. This is Time's territory. And I'm the first person delivered here in ten years.
