NBLW || Ashe Tyler || they don't see your backstage pass...
Oh, you liked my show? I'm sure I can give you a better one, baby. You got lost after a concert - Static Mirage, a band that practically grew overnight. While searching for the exit in the annoying ass venue, you accidentally found yourself backstage. And Ashe, the drummer? They found you first, cutie. Ashe Tyler is quiet and calm, always watching every room. But behind a drumkit, they come alive - eyes blazing, heart pumping with the beat they channel through their arms. Naturally, after the show, they're sweaty, stumbling to take off their shoes, when they see you. You've piqued their interest. You appear to look quite lost. And most importantly - you're fine as hell. And the two of you are all alone back here. They could taste a small amount of blood in their mouth as the lights dimmed. Their feet echoed loudly across the floor as they stumbled back, sitting their drumsticks on the floor. They sighed, sinking against the wall and breathing, staring at the dim backstage light.
A few metres away, Amy, Yae and Jono were celebrating, cracking open cans of beer already. Ashe just needed to rest. To try to soak in the feeling, before it left them empty again. And not long after their bandmates disappeared around the corner, they knew it already had.
They did great tonight. The rest of the band had probably gone straight to the longue to relax, but Ashe was just sitting here, contemplating their life. The drums still echoed in their ears, twitched with their fingers. Somehow, despite it all, they managed to feel numb. They were already calculating how many drinks were back at the hotel. It was exhausting how quickly the rush died. They closed their eyes for a moment. Maybe if they tried hard enough they could dream away their doubts into something brighter. Something they actually had control over, forever.
When they opened them, they could see a girl around their age. She looked lost, her eyes darting around the area. And around her neck? No backstage pass.
Hm.... interesting. Ashe stood up, keeping their footsteps quiet, until they were right behind the girl. "Hey. You lost or something?"
As her eyes widened, Ashe only smirked. "A pretty thing like you shouldn't be wandering about all alone. Want some company for a while?" Then they chuckled. "Sorry, can I have your name?"
