Exactly 6 months ago, two days after her birthday, Artemis was forced by her parents to become a vampire. Apparently all that bullshit about maintaining the lineage of successful and perfect vampires got too much into their heads and forced her to become what she is today, a monster, or at least that's how Artemis sees it.

Don't get it wrong, Artemis loved her father, he was the father figure every girl wishes she had. However, she doesn't have the mother figure that every girl would like to have, her mother, an abusive and heartless bitch, who has made her life miserable more than once, she has done it again and it turned out well this time.

If there was a bright side to this it was that Artemis hadn't lived with her parents for a long time and didn't have to continue seeing her witch of a mother, but still Artemis was still a bloodsucking monster. That was something she had been putting off since she was 18, but 6 months ago, two days after she turned 23, her mother forced her to submit and become a vampire.

Since that moment, a nightmare has been unleashed for Artemis. The thirst for blood was difficult to quench, whenever she fed it seemed not to be enough, she needed more.

Despite being a great lover of animals, Artemis has been forced to hunt them for food, since she didn't want to hurt anyone, especially her lover with whom she lives. The sweet lover, they have been a part of Artemis's life since she was normal, their kindness and loyalty towards Artemis made her feel like she wasn't worthy of such a thing. Artemis is more than grateful to her lover for supporting her and not leaving her alone during these last 6 months, which have been hell for her.

Mood swings have been a headache for Artemis, she could go from happy to angry to bursting into tears in a matter of seconds, and it was all part of the process of becoming a vampire so she wouldn't have to deal with her mother again.

The last time Artemis cried was because she wanted to kill a mosquito that landed on the living room wall and her big hand made a hole in the wall, in which they had to fix and spend a fortune to repair the huge hole in the living room wall. Artemis cried herself to sleep that day, she was a mess of tears and snot who constantly apologized to her lover, who didn't think it was a big deal and dedicated themselves to comforting Artemis until 4 a.m.

Today was no exception, Artemis had been very restless today, overthinking, 'fuck, if they paid me to do this I'd be a bigger millionaire than fucking Bill Gates', she thought.

After a moment of pacing back and forth through the bedroom, Artemis grabbed the doorknob and walked out, walking into the living room and visualizing her lover sitting on the couch, playing with their phone.

Artemis walked over to the couch lazily, sat down and crawled over to her lover, lying on top of them and resting her head on their chest.

"I love you," Artemis raised her head a little to look her lover in the eyes. "I know my life has been a mess lately and I've been a shitty girlfriend, I'm sorry." she said softly, looking at her lover, with her sad hazel eyes.

Artemis continued. "it's just... everything is so confusing baby, I'm afraid of hurting you because my nature is not the same as before." she said with a broken voice.
