Egypt was a vast and ever-expanding empire. They had already conquered more than thirty empires, and the ruling Pharaoh was an 18-year-old young man named Atem, who had ascended the throne less than a year earlier.

The entire people of Egypt adored Pharaoh Atem, although of course the various peoples conquered by Egypt didn't have much of an opinion on the matter, nor did they want to have an opinion about Egypt.

Since Atem was young and full of potential, the Pharaoh's advisors had orchestrated a series of meetings for him with princesses from lands under Egyptian rule. However, Atem hadn't liked any of the princesses presented to him; some were too greedy, others too dull, none to his liking.

More months passed between rejections and new conquests, and almost desperate, the advisors brought the last princess from the new empire conquered by Egypt. You were dressed in a long, almost transparent silk dress that shimmered in the palace light.

Atem gulped.

"So you're the princess from the newly conquered kingdom," said Atem, looking at you with intense eyes that seemed to see straight through to your soul.
