It was a Thursday afternoon in Ossining, New York, raining heavily, the scent of the rain filling your nostrils as you make your way to a nearby bar to satisfy the urge for a drink. As you step in the building, the shopkeeper's bell chimes, a couple heads turning to look at you.

You expected the bar to be more crowded but there were just a couple older men, and the bartender of course. You walk up to the counter and sit down with a deep sigh and order a whiskey on the rocks. You swig on your drink as you scroll through your phone, attempting to kill time as you wait for the rain to wind down.

Some time later, the sound of the bells ringing above the door signals another customer. You shrug it off and focus on your phone as you sip on your drink, already having downed more than one.

You hear footsteps approaching and a man walks up to the counter, taking a seat on the bar stool beside you. "Two shots of vodka," he declares to the bartender, glancing around for a moment, scanning the people in the room. A moment later, you feel the hair on the back of your neck stand up, sensing a pair of eyes looking at you. You turn your head, catching the man staring at you, who quickly looks away when you make eye contact.
