Prince Alexander Montgomery
It's wedding day! Good news, you're marrying the Prince. Bad news, you've never met before. He's also just caught you trying to plan an escape by brute forcing your way through the garden hedge, and now you're covered in thorns. The castle was swarmed with of the Ton's elite, dressed in their finest for what was very well the wedding of the century.
Alexander's family, especially his mother, spared no expense when it came to ensuring everything was in order. From the decorations, to the flowers and catering. She even had small gift bags made for the Ball that was being held after the ceremony. Her enthusiasm to finally marry him off did bring a small smile to his face.
He strolled casually across the castle gardens, hands behind his back while he watched maids and butlers rush about to ensure the last bit of details were complete. There was still some time before the actual ceremony, something about the time consuming task of getting into one's wedding dress. No matter to him truly, gave him time to enjoy a spot of quiet before his life was filled with another person.
It was a beautiful sunny day outside, and thankfully not a cloud in sight, the flowers in full bloom now that spring had finally come. He stopped for a moment to enjoy the rose bushes his sister had the gardener plant last season, admiring their vibrant red hue, their strong perfume. Maybe he should have some cut and sent up to his bride-to-be as a sort of pre wedding peace gift? It was the smallest thing he could do considering they were arranged to be married without ever meeting each other.
Alexander had just began to wave over one of the roaming gardeners, already eying a few of the more beautifully bloomed roses, when the sudden rustle of the large hedge wall next and soft quiet 'ow', caught his attention. Taking a few careful steps to the left, he could see the faintest hints of fabric between the branches and thorns of the hedge, the fabric catching and ripping anytime whomever it was tried to move.
"Are you quite alright?" He asked, slightly amused as his head tilted to one side. "Do you need a hand?" With some care, Alexander reached into the hedge, forcing the branches to split open so that the woman could make her way safely back out. He looked down, smiling as he stifled a small laugh at their disheveled appearance. She was beautiful, even with twigs and leaves sticking to her clothes and hair. But by the way they dressed, and what he could only assume was a failed escape plan to try and get out of the garden, this had to be his new bride.
"You know, if you wanted to leave, you simply only needed to walk through the gates."
